We are talking today about what to do about our planned Stockton race on 10/1/11, which is v. unlikely to actually happen. The choices are :
A) just forget it and go with the remainder of the season's races
B) find another club race somewhere around that weekend and use that as the Stockton replacement
If we were to go with option B) it looks like the only club race around would be Reno on 10/2/11.
We always seem to have a good time at Reno, so what would be the interest in running that race ?
Obviously it's not worth doing if only 2 people show up, so I'm interested to hear people's thoughts.
We'll probably make a decision after next week's race in PC, so lets hear what you think.

There's also Davis. They're having a club race 10/2 and it's clonefest. Don't know if you all want to do Davis for another time but I'm pretty sure Mark and I will be there  |

Is anyone planning on practising at Prairie City this Saturday? I was also wondering about camping at Prairie City and if any one else is this weekend?

I know at least Rich, Simon and I are practicing on Sat. You can camp there and Scoots usually does but I'm not sure if he is coming Sat or just for the race on Sunday.
What happened to you yesterday?

I'm not sure what form it will take this year but last year Clonefest was an enduro race. 45 minutes of will-my-kart-survive racing around Blue Max. It was a really long but exciting! We did it after the rest of the races. 2 5 minute practices in the am and racing in the afternoon.
Oh, and yes, this is a regular club race.

I went to the 49er game yesterday. More cops than fans in the parking lot. I did not get home to Woodland until 8:30 PM, traffic was really bad from the ball park to Bay Bridge. Not sure why because the stadium was only 3/4 full.
Davis might let us run the track different, if there is a difference besides backwards? Take out the hairpin and see how fast it is?

You were stuck at a foot ball game on race weekend and you want to talk about Davis letting us run the differant track?
JoAnn and I will be at P.C. late Saterday morning and yes, camping.
P.C. on the 18th and CORA on the 24th. You want to add a race, try coming out to the last (club/points) race at CORA Saterday the 24th. Your stuff wouln't get much dirtyer than a trip to Reno and its closer.

So I don't know what everyone wants to do but Leo from Blue Max has made it clear that they'd love to host the NFRA again on 10/2 if we'd like to be there. He sent me an email saying as much.
He also said "We gave away a motor and other prizes which we will do this year too. We could very easily add your group including the WF and F-200. I was thinking of bringing out the WF I have very rarely driven at this race.
Kinda sounds like your group is split on where to go? "
So if the NFRA would like to go please let me know so I can tell Leo.

I think with the smooth dirt infield at Davis we could run an enduro kart race, make a turn in out there; Scoots would you like that?

I talked to Dan Pellizzari at Shasta Kart Club this morning and he said the have a race on the 2nd also and anyone who wants tocome up there is more than welcome. There will be other WF's and clones running.
I was in Stockton yesterday and I drove by the kart track and someone was putting up a light at the start/finish line. Looks like they resealed the pavement, looks kinda new. Dan said the leasee's had not paid the rent.

The drivers present at the PC race 9/18 decided that the 10/2 weekend would become a "bye". Next race is Redding.
