It seems like we just raced, but who is coming to PC on 9/18/2011. With the carburetor running too rich on the main at Dixon I couldn't keep up. I sure wish I could reach the needles easily while driving. I am hoping to have the carburetor issues resolved to try and keep up with Scoots at PC. FYI - Little League fall ball is starting and I may miss some racing.

That was a puzzling, fun, exciting, exhilarating, scary, nerve racking, tiring, and ultimately frustrating day.
Thanks to Brad42 for helping me after my slow practice sessions. He got my carburetor dialed in to make some good laps during the next practice and qualifications. I had never qualified on pole and it was an experience.
Ultimately in the Main to break down just a couple laps from ending the race was very frustrating. But "that's racing". I got used to breaking down during the earlier parts of the day, and not the Main. This time I did it backwards and survived the earlier parts of the day, and broke down in the main. Oh, well. I'll see you at the next race.

Congrats on running well until your mechanical issue. Also a big "way to go" to Rich for taking the win in the WF...on his birthday to boot! I wish I could have raced with ya but after my detour over the inside burm of T2 and then dirt traking it through the infield between T2 and T4 you guys were already in the snake pit. Anyone going to be posting any video? Definitely some things I'd like to see again.

I have some nice video of everyone leaving the "barn" to start the race. I'm proud that no cursing can be heard as I just sit there and not race.

I think Scoots has a better angle video of the turn 2 incident.

Yes, like I said, I didn't even see it happen. I was surprised when I arrived at T2 and found you pointing the wrong direction.

Well that was fun to re-live. I see that around lap 15 is when my times really fell off. That is when I could here the metal grinding sounds (which are not good to here during a race). The kart felt like it was binding up and lacked power.
The cause was the sprocket carrier moved about 1/2 inch, causing a grinding of the sprocket with the chain. At lap 16 I was just trying to keep something together without pushing too hard. Ultimately the chain let go. Luckily it let go in a good spot so as not to cause any mayhem in the snake pit.
