The beer is going on ice....TONIGHT! ;D
Glad you are joining us Scoots. I've got a message into Randy about bringing his F200 out to play. How about you Rob? Get John to pilot that thing and let's go have some fun!

Does anyone know the scheduling (start times especially) for the Friday practice, and the Saturday Race? Here is the info the folks at Dixon just posted .... We will be open this friday night for practice under the lights...cost is member-$10.,non-$20. this is to help off set the cost of the lights.
We will have practice till 10-11pm. that night.
Sat. Track is closed untill we have practice for the race .
Practice at 3:00 will start the night off. 1 practice qualify- 5 min group style 2 heats main Trophys... ***you may stay the night .....remember we have no power out there or water to drink. We will have lights for the race. we have 15 lights coming in. This should be a very fun night!!!! Everyone is welcome to come and have fun !!

Jessie just emailed me and has kindly said she will mark off a set of pit spots for the NFRA contingent, so whoever arrives first on Friday (unlikely me as I have to fight my way out of Friday evening Bay Area traffic after work), please check-in with Jessie and see where she would like us to go.
I'll have one trailer shaped spot ... thank you !

Thanks for looking into this and getting the arrangements squared away. My plan is to get there around 3. If I'm the first there I'll track Jessie down and see where she has put us.

So I was reading the paper at lunch today and I see the National Weather Service is saying Folsom will be the hot spot in Norcal this weekend (must not include Redding I'd say) with a high on Saturday of 109. 109??? I GUESS it is a good thing we aren't racing at PC but I can't see Dixon being much cooler. I think I need to can the beer idea and go with popsicles instead....

Really! You're worried about beer and I still have the same dirt on my beat up tires. How am I ever going to get ready in time. I hate Saturday races.

I just had a thought. Simon has arranged for Jessie to allocate 8 pit spots for us. My question is, is that enough? By my count we have 7 racers and the NFRA Cantina. Trailers need at least 2 spots each, right? If so, how many people are bringing their trailers? Simon has a trailer and I assume Scoots will bring his. Anybody else? Do we need more like at least 10?

A big thank you to all who let me come out and brake a crank and made shure I was well fed. You know that just shows that ya can't make a showing in f-200 with out an extra moter in your extra parts box. I think I qualied with a 32.99 ? And that turning right stuff wore me out. I'm with you Mark, I am tired... thanks scoots

That was a fun weekend ! Nice to see you Scott, bummer about the crank though. Big thanks to Brad42 for the excellent catering and keeping us all well fed ! I just took a quick look at my video, unfortunately my camera was pointing WAY too low, so not much to look at. About the only thing the video did catch was Scott (#91 Arrow) losing his right rear wheel. I didn't realize at the time quite how close I was to running into him. Scott, now sure if you are on this forum, but if you are, hope the damage isn't too major. I wanted to come by your pit to check in after the first heat but I had my own minor emergency to deal with with my dead ignition. www.youtube.com/watch?v=glr1h7lTBVM

Thanks to all that got me a pit spot, fed me, and gave what little info from practice they had. I was really happy with the kart considering that the setup was just out of the shop guess. Had just as much fun after the race late into the night. I liked the track at night Simon, my video is even at a lower sngle than yours. Great veiw of my micron hands on the wheel, and front tires

That was a fun weekend. Thanks for the food it was sooooooo good. I don't think we can eat like that every race, as we will never be able to drop the weight to less than 390.
Thanks to Brad42 and Rich for helping me bang (literally) my kart back into shape after the accident in Heat One. After seeing the damage, and realizing how hard it was to turn the steering wheel (it was actually moving the frame as the wheel was forced to turn), I was surprised I actually finsihed the Heat.
When I pulled into scale I was so tired I felt like collapsing. My arms felt like the each weighed about 100 punds each.
But the damage was nothing that a huge crescent wrench and a 5 pound sledge hammer couldn't fix.
Brad9 and Rich, next time parts go flying across the track please don't assume they came off of my kart. That is very offensive. I usually don't lose parts, I just break them.
