Ron, I used my carb & fuel pump. All I know is there was a over a 3 sec. difference between your motor and mine, with no changes to the kart. In fact I was so busy I didn't check air pressures after the first time in the morning.
I think some of our debate about gearing gave me an advantage. I was running a gear almost two teeth bigger in the rear than the other WFs. I could easily pull them all the way around the track especially from turn 11 to turn 4. On the long straights they may have had more top end but I could coast behind them in the draft with no problem. Worse case would have been the drag race from turn 11 to the finish line. That is a long ways.
Kinda bums me out how bad my motors actually is. Its off for a freshening up soon.

Here is the promised video. Don't be too hard on me about leaving the choke on. We actually did not start it with new motor on it until we were sitting on the starting grid. The one thing the video does not show is how hard you are actually steering the kart. I think at least half of the corners you are doing some sort of drift, or balancing the kart thru. The video looks like I am out for a Saturday drive youtu.be/sXy6961RMr4

That's a great video Rich !
When you ran wide in T4 .... was that because you came in too hot, or just forgot to turn enough ?

If you look at the video I started my turn about 2' to late off the apex. All the rest was just drifting wider & wider

Scott, In my opinion I would have to back out some caster in the front end to make it wider. The kart is real darty in the middle of the long corners. By oversteering you can feeling the rear end unloding. I have gone wider and this seems to accentuate this.
Open to suggestions

Rich, I was kidding about makeing it any wider. I bet its darty as hell being that wide and any changes in the caster and or camber will make it worse. can you get it down to 42" outside to outside? When road racing, I think your bumper should be wider than the front tires and the rear end four to five inchs wider. are you on a 40mm or a 50mm ?
