I am in. But with the date of the race being so late in the year, weather is going to be a factor
Simon, are you going to run your Burris tires?

50/50 chance I will be able to make it. If I am around I won't be pre-registering. This is a non refund, non transfer to another race event. I don't want to eat $300 if it rains (and I WON'T be running that track in the rain...TH was scary enough).
Tires is another question...that is being discussed elsewhere.

Simon, are you going to run your Burris tires? I would probably run the one race Bridgstones that Daniel ran on the clone in Reno.

Just a reminder that this race is coming up. I am still planning on going, weather permitting

I'm going to have to pass as well. Finances are low having just got another chassis.

Sorry, I still have a blown motor. I won't have time to fix it until December.

I am just buried with work and unable to get my *%^$# together. I was planning on changing the seat and getting to the track this weekend, but with work and weather it never happened. Sorry.
What I should have done is given my stuff to you and I know you would have prepared it and made it ready to race. As you know I'll be lucky to be ready for our first NFRA race.

I went up to Sears Point on Saturday to watch our solitary NFRA entrant. I'll leave it to Rich to do a full race report, but suffice it to say that our boy did good !

I have said it before but we have to get a group of us out to one of these races! Great weather, great people to race with, it would fit with our style and outlook as a club. Had a great time on Saturday. Rumors of two Thunderhill dates were swirling around the pits. I was negotiating some race entries with the WF road race guys.( We come to a couple of theirs, they will come to a couple of ours)
Big thanks to Ron for loaner motor, and his remaining race gas. I needed his motor to win the final race. In the first race I used my tired WF and was 5 seconds off my pace of last year and finished a close third. Took the lead at lap 6 in the final race and spent the rest of the race thinking Chris Abbas was just setting me up for the finish. Actually pulled about a 15 sec lead by the finish. See Simon's picture.
Big thanks to Simon for help in the pits and the pictures. Without his help I would not have eaten a single bite of my lunch while switching motors. I stood there and debated with myself whether to change motors or not. Glad I did!
I have great video of the final race. However it was such a long time line and large file it kept freezing up my cheep Movie Maker software. Have ordered some new editing software and will get it out there soon. A couple of high/low lights; Me, making it to turn 4 with the choke still on and wondering why they are pulling away from me? Then a middle of the race brain lapse with two wheels off the track jumping dirt holes at 60 mph

Sounds like an awesome time Rich. Sorry I missed it.
TWO TH dates? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Even though it doesn't have the same renown as SP, it is much more fun in a kart than SP IMO.

In the first race I used my tired WF and was 5 seconds off my pace of last year and finished a close third. Great job. I am glad my engine and gas came in handy. The engine was really missing the track, having been taken off for the last 4 of our NFRA races. Did you use the carburetor that was on it, or did you use your own? I am curious because, as I told you, that was the carburtor that Simon said was misting or sending fuel out of the inboard side. If you used both the carburetor and engine, do you think the difference was the engine or the carburetor? Maybe we should contemplate a Road Race as part of our points races. That way we would be committed to it.
