Rich I think I have your sweatshirt. Let me know you want me to get it to you.
I'm liking Ron's idea... Warm beach anywhere!

Simon, can you see if my fuel pump is still bolted to the top of Ron's motor? Pretty sure the pump is on there. I'll check tonight when I use a small dynamite charge to blow my clutch off his crank.

My engine has a pump on it that might be Rich's. In the box there is a pump. The pump in the box might be mine. I don't care which one I get.

I'll check tonight when I use a small dynamite charge to blow my clutch off his crank. If you don't think it will come off just leave it on and email me your address. I will order a new clutch and driver and have it shipped to you. I was going to order another clutch anyway. I will find a way to get it off.

No worries Ron, I used a puller this evening and it came off without much of a fight. I also found everyone's fuel pumps. Rich's is currently on your motor, yours is in the box.

A glorious last place in WF Masters Scoot ! We had a couple of mechanical issues that held us in the pit for a while, otherwise we could have been a big higher. It was a ton of fun and we learned a lot, so next year we will be a bit smarter with strategy and preparation. A completely different racing experience for sure. www.mylaps.com/results/showrun.jsp?id=2570718&perclass=1

... next year we will be a bit smarter with strategy and preparation. It is true that strategy is really needed. As I told Dan, all of my thoughts about how the race was going to be run were completely wrong. Don't get me wrong it was fun. But having the experience of the race day was definitely needed to be able to effectively prepare.

All the drivers staying out of trouble As I recall, we had one driver breaking the brake pedal and the bumper, one breaking the barrier (not the sound one either!) and doing donuts, one driver arguing with the officials after his penalty (bad boy!)... heck, I can only think of one who did stay out of trouble Just a point of clarification. Since I am the only one who got a penalty (and just a drive-through at that!), I feel it is necessary to point out I was NOT arguing. I was simply asking what I did. I am STILL convinced the infraction was actually on the prior driver (that would be Ron of course ) but he simply opted to not "see" the black flag! The fact that I didn't see a black flag until 30-40 laps into my stint it totally irrelevant....I'm sure it was RON! Oh, and did I mention my neck STILL hurts? WTH? I knew I had a fat head but jeez....

I gotta say, TEAM NFRA won the war of fashion, hands down...You were robbed! Aside from a few "excursions" that included Ron trying to whoa-up the kart w/ his feet, things went relatively smooth. I agree w/ Brad, this race needs to be run after a few club gatherings so that "driving-shape" is achieved in advance.

I agree w/ Brad, this race needs to be run after a few club gatherings so that "driving-shape" is achieved in advance. I want to point out that I said I would add weight to myself so we did not have to put as much lead on the kart. I gain 8 pounds in 3 weeks. I consciously dieted and exercised to gain weight but build stamina. I did several different types of exercises so I could build lactic acid in my arms and neck and learn to deal with it. I may have to keep this up all season. ;D At the end of my last session (when I was using my feet to stop) I was actually ready to go out for another new full session. I shockingly felt great after the race. I think Brad pinched a nerve or something which takes time to heal. I think it may just be a fluke, or the fact that the kart was not setup for his driving style. (Let's go with kart setup as the cause. )

Nice, Simon! Especially fun to see the pit crew racing into action! I believe that was the brake failure driver change Note that we are well beyond our pit box.....

Yes that was the brake failure because I ended up running over those fence braces to slow me down.
