Ya know, I'm not gonna hang that sprint #2 mess entirely on Matt's shoulders. It seems that MAYBE Brad lifted, Rich checked up, and Matt (blue kart) made big-contact?

Yeah, the more I looked at it last night the more I started doubting what the real sequence of events was. It all happens very quickly. Maybe Rich's front wheel rubs Brad's rear wheel causing them to scrub a little speed, which causes Matt to go into the back of Rich which then pushes him under Brad, busts the steering and launches Brad ?
Really hard to tell. I'm going for it was a racing incident with lots of karts in a small space, it's hard to fault anyone.

Matt (blue kart) made big-contact? It is NEVER the blue kart's fault!!!!!  Oh, wait a minute, I have a blue kart. Sometimes it is my fault, but I wasn't there. Racing Incident!! Wait a minute, #9's fault. Stop. Did I say I wasn't there? If someone was on only two tires, it was their fault! ;D |

I'll tell you one thing, I did not lift. I had the opportunity to go from 7th to 4th before the 4th turn and I was going for it.
Appears to me Matt got into the back of Rich hooking him to the left into me. Prior to that Rich and I were parallel to each other with 6" of separation with us both giving each other room. I had the position (and about a 3 feet lead) going towards the oak tree corner and there is no doubt in my mind I would have completed the pass coming out of that corner. Doubtful I would have held onto that position considering Rich was fast and my kart was an overstuck pig. But I would have made him work for it.
But lifted? Really??

You were side by side at 4:07-4:09, and Matt was far enough behind with no contact. Then Rich's kart turned drastically indicating contact, and Brad was on 2 wheels at 4:10. Matt only made contact after Rich was turned, and Matt had no place to go. Matt did a great job not driving over Rich. Simon did a fantastic job avoiding Matt and Rich. Good recovery Brad. That could have been a lot worse than it turned out. Now if I was there it would have turned out differently!  |

WTF are you talking about Ron? First picture - Matt is already up Rich's butt. My rear wheel is at Rich's side pod even at this point. Rich and I are giving each other room. Second picture - contact is just being made. Notice where Rich's bumper is relative to my side pod? I am a bit further in front than the prior picture which would indicate to me (anyway) that I am accelerating (gas pedal matted you might notice.) Look I was writing this off as a racing incident. I'm not blaming anyone for anything. I'm going to leave it there because, to be honest, I'm starting to get a little pissed. Matt only made contact after Rich got turned??? HTF did Rich get turned?? I sure as hell didn't hit Rich. I sure as hell didn't slow down causing Rich to check up-hell he was on the side of me. I could have parked it there and it wouldn't have caused Rich to check up. You are defending and fighting when we are always taking pot shots at each other. How many times have I been blamed for something when I didn't cause it.
