We've got some time before our next race. A few of us are heading out to PC next Saturday. Paul is going to be test driving one of Scott's karts for a possible purchase and I'm going to break in a motor and test some axles. Anyone else up for hitting the track on 6-15-13?

How was the practice day? Weather should have been pretty good.
We took a short trip down south to hit up a Dodgers game, a Angels game, and a Padres game.

Track day was great! I got to test drive Scott Bura's Emmick and liked it so much, I bought it! It's a roller for now so if anyone knows of a decent available engine/exhaust/clutch package, please point them in my direction. Weather was really pretty ideal, expecially for race testing.
Even though I won't be racing, I'll see you all out at PC on the 30th.

Yes it was quite fun! In keeping with my promise of sharing track notes for those unable to make it, here ya go. Track is VERY loose. Advise stickers and a rear track no wider than 48 inches. Oh and the track will be closed the Saturday before the race so you won't be able to do any testing immediately prior to the race. Hope this helps!
Welcome back about Paul. Now we just need to get a motor on that thing!
Another welcome to Glenn who we met out at the track. Very knowledgeable guys I'm sure you guys will enjoy chatting with. Glenn will be racing in the clone sumo class on 6/30 but he said he is looking to pick up a WF!

I concur with Brad. Glenn is a nice guy and has a rediculous amount of engine building knowledge tucked up in that noggin'.
Brad, did you pick up my Red cooler on Saturday? If so, would you please bring it on the 30th?. Thx.

Brad, did it really loosen up that much after I left? I remember the wind had picked up quite a bit at 3pm. Do you think that contributed? Or was it something else? Maybe the axle you tried?

So, Brad....might you have been "working" the boys a bit, providing some misleading information about rear width adjustments? Gamesmanship among the NFRA guys, imagine that!

I just put the stickers on, and adjusted the rear width. Tonight I was putting the rear bar on to tighten it up. I only wish he gave me his carburetor adjustment settings so I can come ready to race.

Shhhhhhh Paulie.....next you'll be telling everyone the track isn't closed on the 29th! Speaking of the track, there is some HUGE news coming down regarding the future of PC. Seriously. So, Brad....might you have been "working" the boys a bit, providing some misleading information about rear width adjustments? Gamesmanship among the NFRA guys, imagine that! Whaaaaaaaaaat? Mr. Dan, are you insinuating that I am being less than forthcoming on my sessions? I don't know about that...I do know I took off 6/10s off my pole qualifying time at our last PC race...during the heat of the day. Ya'll better be coming to PC to do some racing! I only wish he gave me his carburetor adjustment settings so I can come ready to race. Come on Ron, how could I do that? Hard to say what the atmospheric conditions will be like in 10 days. However, my long range forecasting model is predicting ADG readings of between 94-96 for qualifying and 89-91 for the main. That would indicate a 96 main jet for qual and 93 for the main. Hope that helps!

Glad to hear PC is closed on the Saturday, I'll just come up on Sunday morning. I'll cut that 50mm axle down to get it as narrow as I can as soon as I get back from the UK. Did you guys know the internet goes all the way to England ? That's messed up. Today we went for a walk around Goodwood House ... lots of activity as they are setting up for the Festival of Speed next month. Glad to hear Paul is on his way to getting a WF together and Glenn might be joining in the WF fun ! I'm travelling to Dorset tomorrow, and was hoping it might be a race weekend here .... but sadly not .. I'll go to the pub instead. www.claypigeonkartclub.com/I looked at some of the previous results ... not seeing a lot of 4-cycle action there.
