May be a little early, but Dan just advised me they changed the track they will be running so I thought I'd give everyone a headsup. The night race will be run on lucky track number NINE! Attachments:

Redding is our next race!? I have two of Daniel's races before that. I guess my priorities are his races. Did Dan say if it is CW or CCW?

Redding is our next "official" race. We are still looking at the Thunderhill road race in a couple of weeks as well. But TH is strictly for fun. ;D CW or CCW? Hell if I know! Will finding that out help you in the weeks and weeks of preparation you will be doing? Oh wait...did I say Ron and preparation in the same sentence??

Ooops, looks like I am a big fat liar. I misread a text. LOL We will be running on track 5. Yessssss, that is the Kid Kart only track. Gotta give the fine folks at SKK credit for knowing who they are dealing with!!

CCW is the plan, and that track (#5) should bring out the kid in all of us!

Just read this quote today, not sure why, but thought NFRA? "It's become obvious that it is not necessary to understand things in order to argue about them". Just might need to be included in the mission statement when soliciting new members? Might really be eye-catching on the '14 yellow tee too. Yep, it's times like this that confirm why I fit well w/ you guys!

"It's become obvious that it is not necessary to understand things in order to argue about them". Heyyyyy now, if I were the sensitive type I might take that in reference to my earlier comments to Ron about his possible problems. I have never suggested, proported, maintained or otherwise claimed to know what I was talking about! I basically take random facts, experiences (real and otherwise) and wild ass guesses to form an opinion. Then I defend those opinions despite obviously faulty logic and incorrect information. In Ron's case I forgot they didn't tear the whole thing down. I was just trying to help based on past experience (which I'm 90% sure was real and did happen) with my F200. But I do like the idea for the shirt. ;D

Great, now I have to put my seat and the World Formula into my son's old Kid Kart and get ready. I don't know how I am going to fit but it should be interesting.

Simon, that is disappointing Dan, know all and tell all. What is the starting guess on gearing for that track?

Geez, i'd guess a 4.25 ratio would be very close. The layout is such that you MIGHT spent a little time on the limiter, but very little. This just might be a race that requires a bunch of bottom-end power, then tuning the kart for late-braking under the oak tree turn? One thing's for sure, if you can drive a loose ride (al la J Johnson) chances of success go way up! Here's a challenge for the NFRA talent....the record for this track layout is 23 lead-changes in a 15 lap race, and half of those passes were "slide-jobs" under the oak tree, each was CLEAN. OK boys, let's have some fun!
