Daniel would like to run a clone at the Reno night race. My old yellow kart is all refurbished and ready to race, but I need a motor.
I don't particularly want to buy a motor for a one off race, but if I can't beg borrow or steal one, he might have to run with us (but he actually wants to jump into the craziness of a clone crashfest again rather than running a detuned/restricted WF).
Obviously, if I borrow one and we blow it up, I'll replace it.

Simon, you are welcome to mine. Not sure if it is legal anymore. Still has the CI flywheel, CL1 cam. Just have to remove the big pipe & 1:3 rockers

Thanks Rich, but I think I might have this covered now. An NFRA member has offered the use of a motor. I can't mention names in case the motor loan sways my judgement in future KC hearings ... which of course it will !

The CL1 cam is legal. It was my impression that the CI flywheel was not. Do you not need the billet steel flywheel? I put the big pipe & 1:3 rockers on it for the dirt track.
I've never seen Simon in any suit but a drivers suit. And might I say that he looked dam good in it! ;D

Do you not need the billet steel flywheel? You need a FW that complies with their rules. Not all Billet Steel flywheels are legal. Rule states "Flywheel must be billet steel, the BSFW-1 steel billet and the Speed Karts S1 steel billet wheels are legal @ 5 lbs 3 ozs. These are only approved flywheels." That rule was modified soon after the season started which removed some FW's from the allowed flywheels. Also I found out that several people raced the first few races with CL1 cam but stock flywheel which was in violation. But they were allowed because the 3 months that the rules were pending was not enough time to get a new flywheel. Don't get me started on that one. Luckily the racer(s) in Jr1Clone that did not have the proper flywheel finished in the back.
