I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself with a race before Reno, but since I'm going to be pulling a "Simon/Scott" on that one I figured I'd start this thread....so, who is in!!
Word is we've got at least 2 maybe 3 coming down from Redding...Pauley will hopefully have his motor by then...Simon and Scott will hopefully have completed their anti-flake therapy..Glenn, where are ya man??!
I'll be heading up Friday morning! Camping both nights.

Dude, way toooooooo early. I have to deal with one more WF before then. I have to deal with one more Jr1 Clone before then. I have Jr1 Clone engines to work on. My son is trying to roster on a competitive baseball team so he is practicing extremely hard, requiring lots of travel to and from.
Slow down Brad, it's not even September.

Oh, I can't believe I forgot this...but, I was talking to Billy Bowerman a couple weeks ago. He too will be joining us for some fun in Reno. I don't think most of you have ever met Billy. Funny as hell, fast as hell and was a part of the formation of the NFRA back in '06 (he is the #17 you see on all of our shirts). He'll be running my backup motor. The only possible complication is if he gets back late from his race director duties from the Off-Road World Championships. 250 entries from 23 countries!

Well, my financial picture has become extremely bleak since the Redding race and unfortunately I will not be able to attend the Reno race. It took an extraordinary amount of monetary resources (buck$!) to get my son to college in Florida and put us way behind on the regular bills. Unfortunately the Reno race would be too much of a strain when I'm worried about keeping the lights on and the water running. Sorry everyone.

Sorry you can't make Reno Paul, but I think we all understand real life commitments (like getting your kids a good education) take priority over grown men racing round and round in circles !

grown men racing round and round in circles ! Are we grown? That's like when I am not allowed to oversee my boys activities that require "responsible adult supervision". I always get excluded from those fun times. Now let me get this straight, I am allowed to drive round and round in circles at Reno. I guess you guys race up to turn five and then around again. I am going 1-2 then straight to turn 6 and make a left onto the straight again. What would that be, a 20 second lap? |

Let's get this roll call moving along.
I'll be there Friday & Saturday (probably stay in Truckee Fri night and camp Saturday night and have some end of season beers).
Daniel will be making his annual appearance driving Jr 2 Clone in my old yellow kart.

Sorry you are going to miss the race Paul.  Looks like only Jeff will be making it from Redding. Planning on leaving by noon tomorrow and will be camping Fri/Sat. |

I am going to pull the other clone engine off the Jr1Clone so someone can take it to Reno Friday. That way there is a spare engine there early, with extra parts and a clutch, in case Simon needs it. I can bring it to someone, or someone can pick it up when they head out. Email me.
I am going to watch my son's travel baseball team tonight and should be done by dark. Hopefully home by 7:30 pm.

No need for another motor Ron. It's a clone ... it will just run and run !
My plans have changed a bit as I got behind on my prep. I'll be leaving San Jose early tomorrow so should be in Reno by noon.
