In 2013 NFRA has been exclusively a Briggs World Formula association but we continue to encourage and promote all 4-cycle packages. Next year, things are going to be different ! Over the last few months Hal Casner has been talking to some of the NFRA gang about his idea to start a modified clone class to attract those racers that are interested in building, tinkering and racing a faster clone. He thought this might be a good fit with the NFRA. Hal has come up with a rules package describing the class and we plan to add that as an NFRA class for 2014. The hope is that by adding this new class to the NFRA traveling championship we'll create a cohesive group of like minded folks and get critical mass to build this new class. Once our webmaster gets back from vacation, we'll post the rules Hal has put together and we'll work with him in the off season to get this new class off the ground. Hopefully once there are a few karts put together with this go-faster clone we can have a joint test day and see how they stack up against the WFs. Hal has the rules on Bob's 4-cycle .. karting.4cycle.com/showthread.php?t=503211Hal will be the class representative and head man when it comes to all things rules related and tech related. Brad, can we create a Pro-Clone specific sub forum ?

Thank you for posting that Simon. Brad and I are in-touch and I know he is addessing the web page update. In the meantime, I welcome inquiries via ph (530-933-8749) or e/m <screamnclones@yahoo.com>. Also....I wud like too make it perfectly clear/understood, that my personal #1 goal/intent is too get this class up-and-running and invite any/all engine builders too take part in it's inception and successes. Lot's of stuff on the horizon!!

Just heard the news. I have a box stock 212 predator I bought for my son's high school project that I can "appropriate" for my needs as he no longer needs it. This could be fun! Hmmm... I think I'm gonna have to look in to this.

Paul....If I can be of any assistance, let me know! I am currently seeking info on Predator performace parts and I "welcome" you too the class! This is 'just' a WAG, but....I see the 'old-style' taking on a 15-25 lb handicap and the 'new-style' (Hemi) having a 40-50lb handicap, of which wud be a near perfect 'Sumo' application...(time/testing will tell) jmo!

Thanks Hal. I have the "old" style (HF# 69730). The hemi style engine (HF# 60363) doesn't seem to be available anywhere and a call to HF says they aren't available either. Not too worried though.
I did a quick check on the web and found NR Racing and ARC Racing having some perf. parts available.
We will definitely be talking/emailing some more as I'm sure I'll have a bunch of questions as this project goes along. And by the way, thanks for coming up with this new class. I love to tinker/tune and think this would be a fun class to participate in.
