There have been a bunch of posts scattered about in various threads regarding getting together to formalize the rules for the BSC class. In an effort to sort of tie things together I figured I'd start yet another thread. lol
Anyway, folks have been talking about coming out to PC on the test day on Saturday for a meeting. Some folks aren't able to make that meeting (at least 4 that I know of) and have suggested that a meeting be held on on race day.
Meeting on a non race day would be a lot less stressful. However it would also probably be a good idea to get input from as many BSC drivers as possible and it sounds like the majority of the class will be racing on 8/2. The advantage to having a meeting on race day is there is always a lot of downtime throughout the day.
So what do you guys want to do? Either way I suspect someone that wants to be at the meeting won't be able to attend. That being the case maybe we can establish a rough agenda so that anyone unable to attend can voice their questions/concerns here so their opinions can be taken into consideration by the group?
Agenda items I can thing of are: Adoption of the AKRA rules package as a base for the Norcal clones (with perhaps some minor tweaks if you guys feel that is necessary) Tire spec Clutch spec
That isn't intended to be an all inclusive list, just a start. Or, maybe that is all that needs to be talked about. I dunno. It is entirely up to you guys as you ARE the class!

I would be willing to host a conference call on a weekday, if someone (ie Mr. Bura) would be willing to take notes. That worked pretty well for us over the winter, and we can get more people to attend on a weeknight if they can do it in their favorite chair

Oh now there is a good idea. I forgot about how well that worked.

Brad are you talking about the day before the race or this coming Saturday?
The day before the race would be good, or if everybody can hang out for a bit after the race?
I don't think things will work for us (myself and Karl) to be there the weekend before, but we will be there for the weekend of the race.

Our family is not able to be at the P.C. track the weekend before the race. My son Mike #101 has taken alot of time reading and talking with others, both in person and by forum about the box stock rules. Mike is the guy in our family to talk with about this. If you have a question or want to know our feelings get with Mike. My son John #24 and I will let Mike speak for us on a phone call meeting, if that works out. Our goal is to have all our rules carved in stone by the start of the next race year. Right ?. I'm sure that you have noticed I put our numbers next to our names, This is so you can tell us apart, I'm the old guy # 48 with the white beard who has plans on taking a 1st place ahead of my sons this next race.

What's wrong with just adopting the AKRA rules? Can anyone give one single reason why we need to change anything except maybe tires? The best reason to stay with the AKRA rules has to do with WKA insurance. ~Karl Cleeton

well after karl cleared me up about the clutch thing theres no problem with that. i second the motion to addopt the AKRA rules they have been working already so why not... there shouldnt be any problems with the rules after we take care of the tire situation right..... so lets take care of it....

I must have misunderstood another post somewhere. lol well after karl cleared me up about the clutch thing theres no problem with that. i second the motion to addopt the AKRA rules they have been working already so why not... there shouldnt be any problems with the rules after we take care of the tire situation right..... so lets take care of it.... Adopting the AKRA rules makes a lot of sense (and much easier) so if that is what you guys want to do then I'd say that is what we should do.
