I am shooting for 9:30-10am. I need to get my stuff finished, maybe practice, pack up and head to the boy's first baseball game of the season. I just don't want to be repairing their karts the day before and find out something just isn't working right. The first race was a bit stressful with all the mechanical issues on their karts.

Early sounds good to me too so I'll shoot for 9:30. I'd like to get back and still have some Sunday left. Luckily most of our Little league is on Saturdays (along with drum lessons etc).
Mike.

Hey Ron nothing written in stone yet, but I'd like to get some practice in with some of the other NFRA guys and sunday looks like what were shooting for, but Ill be darned if I can find your number, I do have you written down as a 60.5 mm Energy, and I do have one, give me a call, or better yet show up with your kart and do some laps

The plan is to show up with kids in tow on Sunday (schedule permitting).
I am not to concerned about me doing laps as I am very comfortable racing Davis. Also a Davis race for me with NFRA will probably be unusual. I plan on only attending Davis races for my son to race. I plan on racing this Davis race (opening NFRA), with minimal wrenching on my kart to focus on my son's kart and performance.

Last I saw was rain today, partly cloudy Friday and Saturday and cloudy on Sunday. Unless it's raining I'm out there to wrench and get some laps.

How is the track when it's damp? I mean is it worth heading out there even if its not raining all the time. Does it dry fast? Have standing water?
Just thinking about the long drive in an uncovered trailer if it is going to be wet. At least the Tsunami won't reach you guys...
Thanks! Mike.

I'm thinking that maybe Saturday would be better for practice. Can others make it Sat. instead of Sun?

You're right about Saturdays weather. But my wife is out of town so I have to get my son to drum lesson at 1:30pm then baseball at 3pm. [jeez - he has more events in a weekend than I had in my whole childhood!]
Suppose we could get there at 9:15 and if we left by 11:45am we could make it back. Sort of tight though. Would be easier to play hookie from work/school and do a day next week. Oh - but the track is being blown up next week. urgh.
Mike.

So far forecast is for rain later in the day Sunday and the chance is only 30% for Davis. Saturday is completely out for me due to opening day of baseball, 4H and other kid activities. I am still going to try for the earlier side of Sunday.

Still hoping the rain will hold off for the morning. I am planning on heading out at 7:30am so should be there at 9am. With my open trailer I would really like to get home before the rain too - but the North Bay always seems to be the first to get wet around here. (Hmm - wonder if tight bound tarp would stay in place at 65mph....)

Well had a good day meeting folks and practicing. Beat the weather at the track but got SOAKED on the way home. 2" of water in each kart seat. Hoping the WD40 is doing its thing right now in the garage.
