What are you all thinking about food on Friday evening ? Bring enough supplies to be self sufficient at the track, or eat in Redding somewhere, or take out if we're all too grubby to be allowed inside ? If anyone has a gas grill we could bring some burgers and buns ?

For just one night I'm leaning towards just bringing stuff. If I had a smaller grill I'd bring it but it'd be a bear to get mine up there. Course, if I see a Carl's Jr, a Western bacon cheeseburger might be pretty tempting. ;D

What a minute, I was under the impression the race was completed last weekend. You guys were practicing and qualifying. Does this mean I still have a chance to get my stuff ready.
I was just going to post and ask what layout you guys ran.

Ron, the race is this coming Saturday. We're heading up Friday. Ah he already knew that...he was just messing with us. LOL So, what time is every heading up to Redding? I'll be all packed up by this evening. I'd like to be on the road by 7:30. I'd be up for caravaning with anyone that is interested.

Ah he already knew that...he was just messing with us. LOL You were messing with MY mind. I want to know how many people went to Redding last week in error based on your false representations. We will probably never know because they would be too embarrased to say the did. If I leave it would be Saturday morning as I am buried at work through Friday. I also have preparation for a hearing Monday morning. My stuff is not packed, not checked, and most definitely not ready to go.

Got the new/used motor mounted but the premier/titan that was on it is broke. the part that holds the retainer ring on the sprocket side is chipped off, about 1/3 the way around it. I tried putting the Tomar on for this race but the sprocket is on the inside and the if the chain bounces around it will rub on the chain guard. I am hoping to leave Woodland a little after 7:30 am. I ordered new spark plugs and they are supposed to be at Carquest at 7:30. I am going to stop by Dan Pellizarri's house before I get to the track, He has a Noram with a 35 drive sprocket that I hope to get a deal on? He lives about 10 minutes north of the track, same turn off. Call me tonight or in the morning when you guys get on the road, 530-624-1251. If posible I will caravan, maybe we could meet up at a rest stop?

Oh, and do I have to remind you that as Simon pointed out, Saturday races require that you practice on Friday...it's the law. I'm a little surprised and maybe even a little disappointed in you Ron. As an officer of the court aren't you bound by some sort of ethics or rules or something to not break the law?? Ohhhhh the shame of it all....

Has everyone checked their supply of batteries? We want to be sure that Brad ( I don't know what my times are ) Wonder has a fully functional Micron for this race.
Brad, 7:30 sounds good to me. Give me a call when your on the road. You have to go right by my place to get to I5 right?
Has anyone noticed that the suggested gearing is getting right back to what they were running at Montery? That is alot of teeth for what is supposed to be a long straight

So you're coming Ron, yes ?
Rich, I have some spare batteries for Brad's mychron. If he refuses to fit them I'll hide my little GPS unit on his kart while he's wrestling with his freshly baked new tires and we can get his laptimes from that.
Sound like I'll be a couple of hours behind you all. I have to drop Daniel off at school at 8am then I'll hit the road.

Still unknown. Went to garage and found a puddle under the kart. That is not a good sign. Many things to do and no time to do it in. I have to prioritize, and that never works out in my favor.

That is alot of teeth for what is supposed to be a long straight Batrees? I don't need no stinken batrees! Believe it or not, I actually found my batteries and even put them in my kart. Do I need to attach that little sensor dudad? I'll tell you what though, if I'm slow I'm taking those suckers out. I really think I go faster if I don't know how fast I'm going. (How's that for a Yogi-ism?) I'll give you a call when I'm rolling Rich. I'm all set to go so I really should be able to hit the road on time at 7:30. As always I still have the same gear I had on at the last race. Test, adjust as always. Or, find out what Simon is running and add two teeth...whichever is easier. Wow, I'm on a roll. First a Yogi-ism and now a Ron-ism. LOL Speaking of Ron. Sure hope you make it...only two races left and then none for 5 months. Ouch! Ohhhhhhhhhh, and I almost forgot. Randy called me tonight and he will be making the trip with his F200 and his daughter in her kid kart. Randy hasn't raced with us much in the past couple years but he was a regular in years past. Really nice guy.

Really nice guy. Davis still has a race after our season ends. They are doing the rain make-up for when NFRA was rained out at the beginning of the season. I wanted to use the rain day, but everyone else went with the next race or something like that. I couldn't make it. ;D I didn't know if they had a Kid Kart group so I told my son he was not coming. Needless to say he woke up with a fever this morning. Finshed the weld (looks ugly but works). No time to grind, clean and paint. Working on oil leak tonight. Couldn't find the problem last night.
