If anyone is using the driving directions from the SKC site they seemed to have left off one turn. After you make the left onto Airport then make a right on Rancho. THEN make a right on Old Oregon Trail. Then just keep driving past the drag strip and sooner or later you'll get to the track.

A big thanks for Dan and Keith from the Shasta Kart Club for putting on a great event. The facility up there is OUTSTANDING and so was the hospitality.
I think I speak for everyone that made the trip when I say we had a great time and we definitely need to put Redding on the schedule for 2012!

X2 I want another try at that track. More grip in the tires and less pieces falling off my seat and brake rotor

Absolutely! Fun track, nice camping & great hospitality.
Next time I'm going to :
- spend more time experimenting with gears, I'm not convinced taller gears are slower
- mount my tires so they are round
- go faster round that last corner
- bring some kind of anti-helicopter device
- remember my memory card for my helmet cam
- not drive any sessions with the choke half on
- get Brad more tires that are just slightly too small for his rims
