Weather permitting I plan on going out to the dirt track at PC. Any and all are welome to give it a try in my kart. I am just going to have a clone on it.
Anybody got a gear bigger than a 67T? I might need more than what I got on it now. Or a clutch with a driver smaller than a 14T
Don, shoot me an e-mail if you think your going out there this weekend.

Scott, what are running for front end numbers( caster / camber)? Not trying to make you give any secrets just want to get my setup as close as possible for a straight rail.
This is what I have got so far
52% left 44% nose 53% cross

Let me address stagger for a second, on tires around 36" +or- one or two"s 1 1/2 is too much unless your racing on a 40' circle. Could be about half would be better. and what does front stagger tell you???What does this relate too. Stagger is the roll out diffs. between the driven tires. when you weighed your set up to get your %s did you lock your steering after you aligned the front end? I run as little Caster os possable trying not to have big Camber changes every time I turn the steering wheel. I try to keep fronts in full contact with the track all the time by setting the R/F as Perpendicular to the track in the turns as possable. This is about 0 on Camber. If your driving the turn you could go alittle positive, and if your driving loose you would go alittle negitive. The L/F sets up about positive 1 1/2 or 2*. It seems like your Left side is alittle lite and low Cross wouln't help you go around the turns very much. There are anumber of ways to change the cross, most will change front to rear % so think about how you make these changes. If your running Sprint tires try,4.5L/F,6.0R/FandL/R, and that 7.1 on the R/R. I don't understand why people like too run a big/wide tire on the R/F, it's not driven with any H/P and its hard to keep it flat to the track. There are other important things to set up, are your frounts up next to your steering arms? How about the L/R? Is it rite next to the frame? With a strate rail I dont think you can ever be too nairrow in back. I run alot of Cross, driving the turns(not drifting) and as much rear weight as I can and still stear the front giving me Drive off the turn. Is this enough for now? please look past my bad spelling and thank for asking me what I think scott

My better half takes off for Cancun on a girls trip tomorrow - so I need to find something to do with my son (drive is too long for him - unless there's skiing involved!) but I am going to try to make it out there. Of course the other big Q is will my little box-stock even start after a year or so in storage.

Is there anywhere listing the classes that race the ovals at PC and CORA? I could not find much. Want to see if there are people using F200 or WF motors and how they do.
Also, saw some cheap Outlaw 125 and 250 karts for sale that seem like they'd be an easier way to get into it. They sure do look funny though ... am presuming it's a different mindset!?
Paul - still curious about that Rotax engine. sent couple of PMs.
Also anyone going to the track on Monday? I get a holiday! (i.e. day off work AND wife is back from Vacation)
