This is mainly for Paul.... Here's an Aixro raced on dirt ovals. They fabricated their own dual barrel (alcohol) carb. Comment from the builder/racer: We worked with a friend of mine to design and develop the manifold. The carbs are from buller and are setup for alcohol. So far we've ran it once with little tuning and we've gained 8hp, and 7 ft/lbs of torque. The best benefit was the engine temp, the main bearing temp hit a max of 131 fahrenheit. Usually gets close to 300.

Alcohol will do that, the temp. the torque and the hp. The thing that needs to be worked on is the torque shock to the drive train.

Wouldn't the torque shock be much less with a rotary because your power impulses come much more frequently than with a conventional 4-cycle piston motor ?

Well you get one paulse per output shaft rev. just like a 2stroke but with about 300ccs of displacement at a lower RPM. These motors put out about 55 or so HP with about 60 lbs torque. Works well with a belt drive witch takes up the shock. Paul brakes chains and spits out sprokets. Swap and Play Saterday 3/9 @ Dixon Speedway! Your all invited

I believe they are racing Saturday. Then there's the first kart dirt oval race at Atwater on Sunday!
